Shhhh!!.. I'm Trying To Study.
How many of you live in perfectly quiet environment, and find it extremely easy to sit back, and finish all of your school work? Not many of us. Most people find it difficult to find a quiet place where we can focus, and finish school work, without any disruptions. Finding the perfect place to study and finish school work is extremely easy on the Bloomsburg University campus, at the Andruss Library!
The Andruss Library was opened in 1998. There's over 200 computers at students access, and a Starbucks for a perfect pick-me-up while trying your hardest to stay awake during finals week. The library opens everyday at 7:30 A.M., and closes at about 10:00 P.M., during the summer semester.

The Andruss Library on the Bloomsburg University campus makes studying, and completing school work easy. [insert picture of library] As you're walking passed the quad to get to the library, you'll be greeted by smiling faces, and a beautiful, glowing, fountain. The most distinctive thing about the library is the 2 beautiful stained-glass windows. As you get the front door, and push them open, the over powering aroma of old book, and coffee rushes to fill your nose. There's several desks, and several students with their faces in their books. There's very little chatter on the first floor, you're allowed to speak quietly. Stepping off the elevator onto the third floor is like stepping into a sound-proof box. Silence. Only the occasional "thud" of the air conditioner fills the room. There's small "cubby-like" seating so you're completely secluded, without any distractions. Having no distractions helps you get your work done more effectively. Within the library, you'll find several students with their heads in their books. One student who was finishing classwork said she came there a lot, she explained, "More dorm-mate is kind of loud, and talkative. I can't seem to get much done around her, so I don't have a choice but to come here." Having a place you can go to focus on what's important is an extremely important thing to have when you're a college student.
As you make your way around the library, you'll notice several workers around the building, all greeting you with smiling faces, and they each say, "Can I help you find something?" I spoke to a young man, who told me he worked there for about a year, he said, "I remember last fall, we had to tell a group of girls to leave the building because they could not stop laughing. They were making the people are them really mad..." It's clear that the library's policy on noise levels are taken seriously.

The Andruss library on Bloomsburg Campus is not only a beautiful building, but an amazing tool we, as students, can use. If you find yourself needing a place to study, get homework done, or finish a book, this is the place for you!
