Dr. Francis Reporting for Summer School

Welcome to English 101 - Foundations of College Writing. I'm Dr. Christina Francis, and I'll be your instructor this summer. In the spirit of getting off on the right foot, I'd like to tell you a little about me. . .

I grew up around the world, following after my father's job in the Air Force. This means I love to travel. I've visited a lot of countries, most recently Istanbul, Turkey. When I was a teen, I lived in Turkey for three years, when my father was stationed at Incirlik AFB. My trip to Istanbul brought back some fabulous memories of my younger years. I greatly enjoyed visiting some of the cultural treasures of Turkey's capital city and sampling its yummy cuisine.

This summer I haven't traveled nearly so far - just a trip to Rehobeth Beach with my partner, Ethan, and his four children. Sadly, we had to leave the newest addition to our motley crew at home.
Meet Finn:

Finn is a rescue dog. We are really lucky that this rambunctious two-year old decided to join our family. He loves chasing rabbits and other small rodents; will smother you with doggie kisses if you let him; and drives his people crazy with his indestructible squeaky bone toy (it's really the only toy to escape demolition so far).

Now that I've told you a few things about me. Please share a little about yourself with the rest of the class!  Here's to a good summer session!
