My name is Katelyn Meeker and I am from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I was born on July 7th (lucky 7/7) which makes me a Cancer (zodiac sign). As a Cancer, I tend to be extremely shy and mellow when I first meet someone. After getting to know me I am very funky. My hobbies are hiking, rock climbing, dancing, and listening to music. Over the past four years or so I have attended over 35 shows(concerts) along the east coast. I have a very wide variety of music taste from the Grateful Dead to Nirvana to Kanye West. In High school I was very interested in writing. My 10th grade English teacher recommended me to write for our High school newspaper. From that experience, I learned that I would not like to be a journalist for newspapers or magazines. I hope to take as much information from this summer course as possible to expand my knowledge and interest in writing.

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the grateful dead too, and I haven't been to as many shows or festivals as you but I have been to a couple! It's one of my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have your own style and to be open to a wide variety of experiences - having wide-ranging music tastes is a good indicator of your desire to try a lot of experiences. I hope this class will give you even more tools for your writing toolbox, so to speak.
